Let’s talk Casino (1995) — not just a film, but a three-hour fever dream dipped in gold, blood, and polyester. 🎲 Fun Fact #1: That pen scene? Yeah, the one where Joe Pesci’s character goes full psycho at the dinner table — it was based on a real incident. And yes, the guy did almost die from a pen to the neck. Scorsese didn’t tone it down. Classic. 👗 Fun Fact #2: Sharon Stone wore over 40 different outfits in the film, all custom-made to reflect her character’s descent from Vegas queen to drugged-out chaos. She was so convincing that Scorsese reportedly called her performance “frighteningly accurate.” 👀 Behind-the-Scenes Vibe: The movie was filmed in an actual casino — the Riviera in Las Vegas — and they had to shoot scenes between 1 a.m. and 4 a.m. so they wouldn’t mess with real gamblers. Imagine walking in half-drunk and seeing De Niro in a purple suit. 💸 Tiny Detail, Big Punch: Every time De Niro changes suits (which he does over 70 times!), his watch and accessories match. That’s Vegas-level OCD. 😄 Personal Take: I still remember watching Casino on cable as a teen, thinking it was about cool mobsters — then 30 minutes in, you realize it’s a three-hour cautionary tale about greed, betrayal, and cocaine. And somehow, it still felt glamorous.
